Overview

Selank (TP-7) is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin. Approved in Russia since 2009 as an intranasal anxiolytic and nootropic.

Mechanism of Action

GABAergic modulation — Enhances GABAergic transmission without sedation
BDNF expression — Increases brain-derived neurotrophic factor
Enkephalin stabilization — Inhibits enkephalin degradation
Immunomodulation — Tuftsin core provides immune-modulating effects
No tolerance/dependence — Unlike benzodiazepines
